Join BlindCafe
BlindCafe is a free, welcoming, screen-reader-friendly voice chat community for blind and visually impaired people, along with their friends and families.
Getting started is easy. Download TeamTalk, install it, and then apply to join. A BlindCafe administrator will review your application and contact you with your account information.
Step 1: Download TeamTalk
TeamTalk is the voice chat software used to connect to the BlindCafe community.
Windows users should chooseTeamTalk 5 Classicduring installation. TeamTalk 5 Classic is designed to work well with screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA.
Step 2: Install TeamTalk
Open the installer and select Next.
Accept the license agreement, then continue until you reach the accessibility options.
Choose TeamTalk 5 Classic Accessibility, continue through the installation, create a desktop shortcut, and then finish the installation.
Step 3: Request Membership
Submit your application so a BlindCafe administrator can review your request and contact you with your account information.
